  I won't be going back.
  So I stopped there a couple months ago to pick up a bunch of bait and tackle. My first time I ever stopped there. They guys were ok, not friendly and a bit aloof. Not rude, just not very welcoming, not that a tackle shop has to be. I had all intentions of going back there and making it my tackle shop when I fish Raritan Bay. Then I called a a couple days ago to buy rods and tackle and wanted them to be spooled up and ready for me to pick up the next morning. (J&H Tackle online shop lied and stated they had rods and reels in stock when they didn't. It took them 3 weeks to let me know that they didn't have them and I canceled my order with them. J&H Tackle messed up my fishing trip for the next day. I was out of the country and thought that the items had been delivered but they never came.) So, long story short, I was about to spend about $1500 on new trolling set ups, thee rods and reels, line and tackle. A younger guy answered the phone at Julian's, answered some questions for me since I wanted specific rods and reels. After about 3 mins of talking, the guy basically says to me that I was wasting his time and hangs up on me. So I called the Fisherman's Den North, located at the marina and a more convenient location, and Tom took care of me. I ended up buying two Accurate Boss Reels, and Tsunami trolling Rods, Power Pro Super Slick 8 braid and a Tsunami Shield reel. Then I bought two more Tsunami Slow Pitch Jigging Rods from Fishermen Source dot com since Fisherman's den were out of them and I didn't need the slow pitch rods right away. All told, I spent a lot of money and Julian's lost a customer.
  P.S. One of the guys (seemed like the owner or manager) at Julian's told me that he was a Navy SEAL. Almost all legit SEALs I know, don't just come out and boast about that (I'm a Navy Veteran and have classmates and friends that are SEALs). I hope he is a Navy SEAL and not a valor thief.
